That webpage should list everyone who you have listed as a 'Friend' with a tick box to the right of each name. Just take the tick off the nicknames of the people you don't want as friends anymore.





Then click on the 'Save changes' button at the bottom of thatr webpage.

How do I upload pictures to Livejournal?

I've got an account with livejournal, and went to the picture upload page to upload some pictures. I select the file I want to upload and click "upload" ... then the bar at the bottom loads for a few seconds, and finally nothing happens. The pictures just don't get uploaded.





Does anyone know why this is?

Not sure, exactly, but I believe you must be a paid member to upload pictures directly to LiveJournal. Even so, your picture size may be limited to 320 pixels in the largest dimension.





Even though I have the capability, I rarely do it that way. I'm more likely to use a free service like Flickr to upload my photos, right click on the size photo I want in Flickr (their "default" 500 pixels is perfect for LJ), choose "Properties", copy the URL from that window, and paste the URL into my entry.

It's a little complex, if you don't own a paid account, you can only select from the pre-installed skins.





Presuming you don't have a paid account:


Open your livejournal (username.livejournal.com)


and click My LJ


Go journal, edit journal style


Select S2


Then click the tab Look and Feel


Under layout and language, there is a drop down menu of heaps of different styles.


From there, select your style


Then press Save Changes





Then you're all done!


Go back to your livejournal (username.livejournal.com) and have a look at your results

It sounds like you are a teenager,,,i think,,,,emotional ups and downs,,,,,it is so hard to go through this period of your life....If your friends are not there when you need them,,,then I think they are not true friends,,,,,,,you will learn this as you are older,,,,alot of teenagers mature quicker than others.....just remember you are best at what you do...no one can do it better than you........doing the right thing in life brings rewards...and they grow as you grow...better and better......if someone does something wrong....know that you are better than them cause you wont do it.........the best is inside you....i hoped i helped.

Do you use Semagic to update with? If so, click on the option for "friends only" and then save settings. It will automatically default to friends only each time you post an entry.





If you use the web to update, you'll have to manually set the entry to friends-only.





There used to be a tool that would automatically convert your entire journal to FO, but I can't seem to find it now. You may have to go back and make each one FO by yourself.





As for a FO banner, just create a new entry, paste in the img code, and that's that. It's just like posting a picture.

Manage-Customize-Edit Customizations. Depending on the type of layout you have you might not be able to add your own background. There aren't many pre-made layouts for LJ outside the ones they have listed on the site already. You'd have to make it yourself from scratch or play around with the ones they already have.
