Reply:I quit LJ a while back, it started acting funky and not doing what I wanted to do. Either go into your account and change some stuff around, or join me at myspace or facebook. Or ever tried Xange? It's just like LJ but better. Good luck with everything.

Ohkay, so i was looking around and i found livejournal.com and i was wondering if i should get one. I need your opinions, how well it it? How old do oyu have to be to have one?
Well, just help me out and ill answer your questions too.

It's just like a diary, I'll tell you that. I barely use it though because I'm always busy. But when I do update it ... it's because something interesting happened and I want to type it down so then I can look back on it.
It's cool to know what happened before like a memory thing.
And I think you have to be at least 13 years or older.
Anyways, have fun!

The best features of LJ is that you can allow only people on your "friends" list to view your journal or you just can use it as an online "locked" private blog where only you have access to it. Also it best selling point is privacy, it is very difficult for someone to track you down on LJ as opposed to Myspace. Plus it seems that trolling on LJ is at a minimum, which can be bad if you're looking to broadcast your journal for attention.

Can't post on my livejournal, why?
Hi, I have a free account on live journal k8-austen.livejournal.com/ and I tried to post new entries to my journal or modify those that I had and I can't do it. I see the page for a few seconds and then it disappered and I get an error message saying this: Impossible to find "http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pa...
Error- Syntax error.

Did you put google ads on your theme? That error is referencing google ads, so you might need to go in and change your theme.

Password Safety? MSN and/or Livejournal?
I went over to my friends house yesterday and went on my MSN and Livejournal page while using his computer.
It wasnt until i got home i realised he now might have my passwords.
He is my friend, but that wouldnt stop him from messing around with my msn/lj friends! %26gt;.%26lt;
Iv already changed my MSN password, but if he has it saved, will he have my new MSN password too?
And what about my Livejournal password, should i change that as well?

If you ticked remember password, then the old one will be remembered, but almost certainly not the new one. If the browser remembered the password, same goes. You're safe, but if the password has not been remembered and the site was secure (they probably were), then it would be very hard for your friend to find it.

i've tried blogs before, but this is my first time to try livejournal. i was trying to use "cityscapes" under "expressive" for my background but it would not let me? do you know why? and what should i do so that i can use it?

LJ is funny like that. I recommend blogger.com. It's 10x better. After I switched from LJ, I never turned back. It's so much easier to navigate, IMO.
BTW, who's that guy from Lost that you were referring to? I don't watch that show.

I've already looked in the FAQ at livejournal.com, so please don't direct me there. How long does Livejournal save your entries after you have posted them?

I believe forever (as long as you keep your account). But if you're worried about hanging on to them for longer, you can download all your entries as a pdf file. Yes, it's called LJBook and there's a link below.
